About Hearts & Souls of Special Olympics

The two authors participate in the Special Olympics. Ruth Spinelli is a Special Olympics athlete. Some of the events she participates in are basketball, skiing, track, and horseback riding. Alean Skinner is currently an Athlete Leadership Coordinator for the Special Olympics in her area.  They are advocates for individuals with special needs with a goal to make a difference in the world.
 
The authors plan to publish sequels to this edition that include perspectives from all over the world. We look forward to hearing from you!
